Configuration Mode

OVERVIEW

This article details instructions about how to use Configuration Mode.

Configuration Mode allows a Module Configurator to place a module in a state that temporarily disables it to front-end users whilst Module Configurators can make changes to the module. The module then becomes not accessible except to Module Configurators and the Processing Team.

In the case of Custom Modules, any submissions whilst the config mode is enabled can be permanently deleted i.e. data won’t be available in the reportable dataset.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Log in to your Lighthouse instance.

2. In the top menu bar, select the ‘System Administration’.

3. Under ‘System Administration’, locate ‘System Settings’ and select ‘License and Modules’.

Option ONE for turning ON Config Mode:

1. Once in ‘License and Modules’ select the module you would like to view in Config Mode by clicking on the ‘Config Mode’ icon.

2. After turning on Config Mode the status will change to ‘Config Mode’ and appear yellow (this means it’s active)

When ‘Config Mode’ mode is active, there will be a yellow bar at the bottom of the screen, this is to tell you that ‘Config Mode’ is being used.
