Importing Over An Existing Form

This section explains how to move new configuration changes from the test environment (or another instance of Lighthouse), to the production environment by uploading the updated version of an existing module.
This process ensures the preservation of all historical data associated with the module throughout the migration process.

9. Once file is uploaded into your instance, search for the form and click on the settings cog.

10. Make any configuration changes required, making sure you save your changes.

11. Once changes have been completed and you are ready to import the data back into your live instance, you will need to export the again.

  • Navigate across to the ‘Meta Tab’, click on ‘Actions’ and select ‘Export’.
  • After exporting, click on the ‘Add Module’ button and select ‘Import File’ to import into your live instance.

*Select ‘Download Impact’ to review the changes that have been implemented.

12. Go back into your live instance by selecting the ‘System Administration’, ‘System Settings’ and selecting ‘License and Modules’.

13. After importing the file back into your live instance, while you are in the ‘Meta Tab’ ensure the Unique Module Identifier is the same in the live instance and the other instance.
This will ensure that a new module is not imported, but will update the existing module with the changes in the test environment.

*Please note, only Custom Form Publishers can import and export forms. Speak to the system admin team to gain access or contact us at helpdesk@lighthousegrc.software
