Notification Templates in a Module

OVERVIEW

This article details instructions about how to add Notifications to a module by setting up Notification Templates.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. After logging into your Lighthouse instance and either creating a new module or locating the one you wish to add a Notification Template to, navigate across to the Notification Templates tab.

2. There will already be premade notification templates in the form, but to create a new Notification Template, click on the “+” button.

3. Give your template a name (e.g., About Lighthouse) and click on the edit icons (pencil) to write the structure of the email notification that will send. Click “Save“.

4. Meaning of the editable fields;

Subject: Will be the information that will appear as the email subject.
To Line: Is who the email will address. Click on the “Notification Field” drop down list to select a merge field.
Description: Is the body of the email and now includes Last Authoriser Comments
Button Text: Is what the button will say in the email (e.g., “click here”, “go to survey” “complete form”). Clicking this button will take the user to the form to complete.
Hide Button: Select this option if you do not want the user to be able to click a button to go to the form.
Prefooter: Will appear under the body of the email.
Footer: Will default to what is set up in system settings, but if you would like it to say something else, you can edit it in the notification template.
